I would like to address one more thing Lew said. He claimed the general public doesn't understand what Issue 3 is; therefore, the public should not be able to vote on it.
As I mentioned before, the law as it stands is confusing, and Phil Burress did this intentionally over 10 years ago to get it passed (he's doing the same thing with Issue 1, the marriage issue).
Citizens to Restore Fairness has spent the last year and a half knocking on doors, attending church festivals, community events, bars, etc. I personally have spent time working the phone bank, talking one by one to registered voters. In all cases, these registered voters are given blunt explanation of what Issue 3 is. Those canvassing the neighborhoods are given a copy of the law to show to voters.
By this time, tens of thousands of supporters have been contacted and identified, and the effort continues.
Sunday evening I placed a hundred flyers detailing Issue 3 on doors of homes in my neighborhood. I plan on doing this several times more before the election.
In a nutshell, voters are being educated. It's Phil Burress who is willfully confusing the issue through blatant lies and miseducation. Lew is an accessory to the crime.
